1st Annual Pig Roast Raises Over $2,600

Quinn Johnston proudly hosted a pig-roast benefit in July to support the Neighborhood House Meals on Wheels program. The family-oriented fundraiser, which took place at Ravina on the Lakes in Peoria, featured a catered buffet of favorite summertime foods, plenty of cold beverages, a make-your-own ice-cream sundae station, plus festive music and games.

Quinn Johnston underwrote all of the event’s costs so that 100% of collected proceeds would directly benefit Meals on Wheels. This long-running community program serves over 900 hot meals per day to seniors and disabled persons in Peoria, rural Peoria and Tazewell County.

At the beginning of the benefit event, attendees were welcomed by Kevin Miller, one of the firm’s senior partners. Kevin then introduced Larry Von Behren, the Operations Director for Neighborhood House. Larry shared the mission of the Meals on Wheels program.

Guests who attended the benefit were encouraged to put donations in special piggy banks that served as table centerpieces. Thanks to the generosity of these individuals, over $2,600 was raised to help support Meals on Wheels. The guests included Quinn Johnston staff members, many of the law firm’s valued clients, and also friends of Neighborhood House.

Founded over 117 years ago, Neighborhood House is dedicated to provided comprehensive services that meet the social, emotional and material needs of individuals and families from infancy to the elderly. The common goal of all services is to enhance the quality of life and foster independence of those served.

If you were in attendance, we thank you for spending the evening with the lawyers and staff of Quinn Johnston and for supporting Neighborhood House.

We hope to see you next year!
