Quinn Johnston Receives Prestigious Employment Award

Peoria’s Quinn, Johnston, Henderson, Pretorius & Cerulo was recently named as one of the 2016 Best Places to Work in Illinois. In the category of employers with 15-99 employees, Quinn Johnston was the only law firm state-wide to make the list, and the only Peoria-based employer to receive recognition.  Overall, the firm was ranked #19 of all similarly sized employers in all industries throughout the state.

As a law firm with litigation expertise, Quinn Johnston is especially honored to be receiving an award based on its employment practices.  The firm has worked collaboratively with employees to develop fair work practices and build a company culture ingrained client satisfaction and a healthy work/life balance.

“There’s no doubt that litigation work can produce plenty of stresses both in the courtroom and at the office.  At Quinn Johnston, employment practices that foster employee well-being and job satisfaction have always been our priority, even when the going gets tough,” said John Kamin, the firm’s managing partner.  “We are honored to be given an award that recognizes the work we’ve done internally to develop such a great team.”

The statewide Best Places to Work in Illinois survey and awards program, established in 2006, was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The 2016 list is made up of 30 companies in the small employer category (15-99 U.S. employees), 26 companies in the medium employer category (100-499 U.S. employees), and 18 companies in the large employer category (500 or more U.S. employees).

The awards are promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, MRA-The Management Association, the Small Business Advocacy Council, the Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group.
